We now offer
ultrasound for carcass information. The use
of carcass information on replacement
heifers as well as bulls will help improve
the predictability of the end product .
This information should also be helpful in
determining when and how we market our
product.

The above images were scanned from an 8 1/2
month old Charolais bull calf.
We currently
have software that can calculate Ribeye
Areas(REA), Backfat(BF) and % Intra Muscular
Fat (IMF). This software can be used to
ultrasound cattle as early as weaning.
Early detection of these traits could save
time and feed on lower quality cattle, which
could increase the bottom line in any
operation, purebred or commercial.
